Short on time but keen to chase a cod? This half day walk and wade session targets Murray Cod holding tight to structure along the Ovens and Buffalo. We'll get you onto the fish and show you how to work the water.
It's a great introduction to chasing Murray Cod in the high country, enough time to learn the technique, feel the country, and hopefully get connected to one of the river's apex predators.
Perfect for locals wanting a quick session or first timers testing the waters before committing to a full day.

Yes. Anyone fishing in Victorian waters needs a current Victorian Recreational Fishing Licence, unless you're exempt (under 18, over 70, or hold a concession). You can grab one online in a few minutes before your trip. We'll point you in the right direction if you're not sure.

Not at all. Whether it's your first time holding a rod or you've been fishing your whole life, we tailor the day to you. First-timers are welcome we'll show you everything.

We fish in most conditions, but if it's genuinely unsafe or the rivers are blown out, we'll reschedule you for another day at no extra cost. Your safety and a good day on the water come first.

Murray Cod are catch-and-release to protect the fishery, in line with Victorian regulations.
